Steve Brand is the co-owner of BrandPOP, point of purchase experts in San Antonio/Cibolo. He is also a member of the EO San Antonio Accelerator program, and he is our spotlight for October. Get to know more about him and his Accelerator experience.

What is your favorite part about Accelerator? Why would you encourage someone to join?

My favorite part has to be the mentoring. It has been amazing to have access to all of the experiences of the other members in so many areas of business. Everyone seems to understand how listening and sharing their experiences can help in the day-to-day running of the business. I would encourage others to join because I believe that the shared experience of holding each other accountable to work towards meeting our goals can lift each of us up. There is a lot to learn from these members, even though we all have different products and services.

What’s the best part about owning a business? What are some of your company’s recent accomplishments?

The best part of owning a business is being able to have control over the vision of what we are doing. At the end of the day, we can say we understand what our goals are and can do our best to communicate that to the team, support this team and nurture the growth that we want out of it. Lately, we’ve brought on a few larger clients that have rounded out our schedule. Being a small business sometimes means you need to balance different types of work to help manage time and costs. I believe we’ve done this well.
